How your file is handled: unlike our other PDF tools, this conversion needs our server. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, converted in an isolated sandbox with no internet access, and deleted right after you download the PDF (and always within 30 minutes). We never keep or look at it.

To convert Word to PDF, drop your DOCX, DOC, ODT or RTF file in. It is converted on our server in a few seconds and the PDF downloads automatically; your file is deleted immediately afterwards.

Why convert Word to PDF?

  • A PDF looks the same on every device — fonts, spacing and page breaks don't move.
  • Most job portals, government forms and universities ask for PDF uploads.
  • A PDF can't be edited casually, which suits CVs, invoices and signed letters.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF look exactly like my document?
Very close. Conversion uses LibreOffice with metric-compatible fonts for Calibri, Cambria, Arial and Times New Roman, plus Noto fonts for Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean scripts, so layout and page breaks normally match. Unusual paid fonts are substituted with the closest available font.
Is my file safe?
This is one of the few orrgo tools that needs our server. Your file is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, converted in an isolated sandbox that has no internet access, and deleted right after you download the PDF — always within 30 minutes. We never keep copies or look at the contents.
Are there limits?
Files up to 50 MB. Password-protected Office files can't be converted — remove the password in Word, Excel or PowerPoint first.
