To convert a PDF to Word, drop it in and press Convert to Word. "Editable text" rebuilds paragraphs, headings, bold and italic text and bullet lists into a DOCX you can edit; "Exact look" places each page as an image when appearance matters more than editing. Why your PDF never leaves your device

Most online PDF tools upload your document to their servers, process it there and ask you to trust that it is deleted. orrgo PDF Tools work differently: the processing code (pdf-lib and PDF.js) is downloaded to your browser and runs there, so contracts, statements and ID documents never travel over the internet.

That also makes the tools fast — there is no upload or download wait — and they keep working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the conversion?
Text-based documents — reports, letters, articles, CVs — convert into clean, editable paragraphs and headings. Complex layouts are simplified: table rows become tab-separated lines, multi-column pages are read in order, and images are not carried over in Editable mode. Text in Indian and other complex scripts may need a quick check. Use Exact look to keep the original appearance.
Can it convert scanned PDFs?
A scanned PDF is just pictures of pages, so there is no text to edit. Choose Exact look to put the pages into Word, or use Image to Text (OCR) to extract the words.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device and nothing is stored on our servers. It even keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
